Rivenglade

Naire was the first Age Written by James Rofen it was a beautiful enclosed area filled with wildlife. Tall trees and waterfalls populated the area giving it a very peaceful atmosphere. After the incident the Age became known as Rivenglade. The death of David Clarke had weighed heavily upon James and lead him to alcoholism. When he returned to the cavern he wanted a place to go and take his mind off of things when they got difficult. Naire became the culmination of his research in the the Art of Age Writing.

Post-Incident

The Incident

James had joined the Tailehn Society shortly after returning to the D'ni cavern following the death of David. James had seen what Yeesha had done in the "alternate" Kadish vault and sought to do the same with David and save him. James believed the Society, despite their dubious methods, were the best way to achieve his goals.

Following the raid on Lehns James was given the Watcher Statues from the Age to experiment with. James and the Society set up a research lab of sorts upon Naire.

James had discovered the material the made up the statues could be used with Linking Books much akin to descriptions of stabilizing geodes of Catherine. He planned on using them with Linking Books in the hopes of finding a way to either Link through time or to an alternate David Clarke.

Impatient with James' progress on the project (dude guy name here) decided to move on without James whilst James was on the surface. unfamiliar with the experiment and rushing to get results (dude guy) activated the machinery on the Age to devastating consequences. The experiment overloaded due to mis-callibration causing an explosion that ripped through the Age permanently altering it forever.

The force of the explosion twisted the trees stripping them of their leaves, fissures snaked their way out from the center of the explosion. The lab they had built there partially collapsed and the technicians from the Society were never heard from again.
