(04/20 12:24:55) Kelsei A.T.: ill be going to check the GoMePub's nexus terminal after, Calum asked me to.
(04/20 12:25:09) Kelsei A.T. leans left
(04/20 12:25:10) Briggs: Glad it finally got repaired
(04/20 12:25:14) Briggs leans right
(04/20 12:25:21) Kelsei A.T.: he was working on it all morning
(04/20 12:25:27) Kelsei A.T.: apparently live-posting to the forums
(04/20 12:25:27) Briggs: Busy!
(04/20 12:25:36) Jules Lavisham: Shorah all!
(04/20 12:25:39) Kelsei A.T.: shorah, Jules
(04/20 12:25:47) Kelsei A.T.: I believe we're just waiting on Patrick now?
(04/20 12:25:48) Briggs: Howdy Jules
(04/20 12:25:53) Kelsei A.T.: shall we get the audio loaded up?
(04/20 12:25:57) Jules Lavisham: Evenin' Briggs, Aurelius
(04/20 12:26:05) Jules Lavisham: Sounds good Kels
(04/20 12:26:19) Jules Lavisham: Shorah Booker
(04/20 12:26:25) Kelsei A.T.: ah, i see someone's already been poking at the podium :)
(04/20 12:26:27) Kelsei A.T.: shorah, Aurelias
(04/20 12:26:28) Booker9: Shorah all
(04/20 12:26:35) Aurelias: shorah Kelsei :))
(04/20 12:26:35) Kelsei A.T.: shorah, Booker,
(04/20 12:26:44) Jules Lavisham: Got here just in time for us to give the new audio a whirl
(04/20 12:26:50) Aurelias: KI subtitles working great!
(04/20 12:26:55) Jules Lavisham: How's it looking, Aurelias?
(04/20 12:27:01) Aurelias: Sounding great!
(04/20 12:27:08) Briggs: That's good to hear (and read)
(04/20 12:27:09) Jules Lavisham: Right, now then now then...
(04/20 12:27:27) Kelsei A.T.: where was that release hatch again?
(04/20 12:27:32) Briggs starts to laugh
(04/20 12:27:44) Aurelias: The improved KI name-highlighting is nice, too!
(04/20 12:27:45) Jules Lavisham: Haha, yes, it's a notoriously fiddly one this...
(04/20 12:27:53) Kelsei A.T. pops the side off
(04/20 12:27:55) Kelsei A.T.: there we go
(04/20 12:28:04) Kelsei A.T.: ...now which side was the data port on?
(04/20 12:28:11) Jules Lavisham: I swear the D'ni had tweezers for fingers
(04/20 12:28:17) Jules Lavisham: Round this way Kels
(04/20 12:28:19) Booker9: Right under the USB, right?
(04/20 12:28:21) Kelsei A.T.: ah
(04/20 12:28:38) Kelsei A.T. moves over, and peers inside.
(04/20 12:28:44) Kelsei A.T.: ...we ought to disconnect the power first,
(04/20 12:28:47) Kelsei A.T.: dont want to get shocked.
(04/20 12:28:54) Jules Lavisham: Ah yes, good shout
(04/20 12:29:00) Kelsei A.T. reaches in and flips the red taped switch
(04/20 12:29:08) Kelsei A.T.: there we go. :)
(04/20 12:29:15) Kelsei A.T.: now, who has the audio file?
(04/20 12:29:26) Kelsei A.T.: Jules, you brought it, right?
(04/20 12:29:33) Jules Lavisham: Yes.
(04/20 12:29:34) Jules Lavisham: ...
(04/20 12:29:38) Jules Lavisham: Hang on.
(04/20 12:29:43) Kelsei A.T. hangs on...
(04/20 12:29:52) Jules Lavisham pats his pockets erratically
(04/20 12:29:56) Kelsei A.T.: ...
(04/20 12:29:58) Jules Lavisham: I swear it was
(04/20 12:30:00) Jules Lavisham: AH
(04/20 12:30:01) Jules Lavisham: Here
(04/20 12:30:23) Jules Lavisham hands it over to Kelsei
(04/20 12:30:28) Kelsei A.T. thanks you
(04/20 12:30:42) Jules Lavisham: Physical storage just isn't what it once was
(04/20 12:30:43) Kelsei A.T. peers inside looking for the little plug port that was installed before...
(04/20 12:30:56) Briggs: I'm sure that a handful of people watching you work doesn't make you nervous or anything ;)
(04/20 12:30:56) Jules Lavisham: You put in a floppy disk, you KNOW which way that thing was going into it
(04/20 12:31:15) Kelsei A.T.: yes, that is the annoying part
(04/20 12:31:19) Kelsei A.T. compares data ends...
(04/20 12:31:28) Kelsei A.T.: okay I think this ought to work...
(04/20 12:31:42) Jules Lavisham: I don't know. It's weird being nostalgic for storage media that *bends*.
(04/20 12:31:46) Kelsei A.T. shoves the thing into the thing and tries not to think about it.
(04/20 12:31:52) Briggs: I know exactly how you feel, Jules
(04/20 12:31:56) Kelsei A.T. waits a moment...
(04/20 12:32:03) Kelsei A.T. hears a beep signalling the start of a data transfer.
(04/20 12:32:07) Kelsei A.T.: there we go :)
(04/20 12:32:22) Jules Lavisham: Aha, perfect timing!
(04/20 12:32:23) Kelsei A.T.: shorah, Patrick,
(04/20 12:32:27) Jules Lavisham: Up here Patrick
(04/20 12:32:34) Kelsei A.T.: we just got the data file set to install.
(04/20 12:32:37) Briggs waves hello
(04/20 12:32:41) Patrick Dulebohn: Hey there!
(04/20 12:32:41) Jules Lavisham: We're just doing the now-traditional Upload Faff
(04/20 12:32:44) Patrick Dulebohn: How goes it?
(04/20 12:32:48) Kelsei A.T.: well enough.
(04/20 12:32:54) Kelsei A.T.: made sure to turn the power off before we touched anything
(04/20 12:32:59) Kelsei A.T.: no shocks for this podium!
(04/20 12:33:03) Patrick Dulebohn: Heh, always an important step.
(04/20 12:33:08) Kelsei A.T.: indeed.
(04/20 12:33:15) Kelsei A.T.: ah, and the other man of the hour
(04/20 12:33:18) Kelsei A.T.: shorah, hazado :)
(04/20 12:33:26) Patrick Dulebohn: Hello there, Hazado!
(04/20 12:33:29) Jules Lavisham: Hey there Haz
(04/20 12:33:32) Hazado: Shorah
(04/20 12:33:34) Kelsei A.T.: we're just marveling at your repair work while waiting on it to finish uploading the file.
(04/20 12:33:54) Patrick Dulebohn: Yes, I have a feeling people will be quite excited about your recent work in Gahreesen.
(04/20 12:33:55) Hazado: Yes, well...i like to tinker
(04/20 12:33:56) Patrick Dulebohn grins
(04/20 12:34:00) Jules Lavisham: Yeah, still in awe at this technical gubbins
(04/20 12:34:15) Kelsei A.T. frowns, gazing at the thingy, wondering if it should've beeped by now...
(04/20 12:34:19) Patrick Dulebohn: Same here. I'm still a dunce when it comes to D'ni tech. I am impressed.
(04/20 12:34:21) Hazado: If you eletrocute yourself enough, anything is possible
(04/20 12:34:23) Hazado laughs
(04/20 12:34:23) Jules Lavisham: Never thought human and D'ni tech could work as well as it has been
(04/20 12:34:35) Kelsei A.T.: Better than whatever storage medium the Wall's been using
(04/20 12:34:45) Patrick Dulebohn: I'll just stand over here and observe.
(04/20 12:34:49) Patrick Dulebohn winks
(04/20 12:34:50) Kelsei A.T.: I've heard some of the random lines it's pulling.
(04/20 12:34:54) Hazado: yes, still not sure what is going on with the static we were getting
(04/20 12:35:02) Jules Lavisham: Hi there AStrangeFool!
(04/20 12:35:08) Kelsei A.T.: some kind of data corruption, likely
(04/20 12:35:14) Murry: SO, is this the answer to how people does it take to change a fire marble?
(04/20 12:35:15) AStrangeFool: hi there
(04/20 12:35:16) Kelsei A.T.: the old Hood Podiums suffer a similar corruption.
(04/20 12:35:18) Kelsei A.T. hears a beep
(04/20 12:35:21) Kelsei A.T.: ahha! there we go!
(04/20 12:35:23) Patrick Dulebohn: We'll need to bring one of these over to Chiso so you can record and test upload to one of these.
(04/20 12:35:24) Hazado: I swear i heard voices in the static
(04/20 12:35:30) Kelsei A.T. removes the data storage thing
(04/20 12:35:35) Patrick Dulebohn: Given all your equipment is there and everything.
(04/20 12:35:35) Jules Lavisham: Excellent
(04/20 12:35:38) Briggs: Ghosts in the machine?
(04/20 12:35:40) Kelsei A.T.: Calum's remarked it sounds like D'ni, and I'm inclined to agree.
(04/20 12:35:49) Patrick Dulebohn: Possibly, Briggs!
(04/20 12:35:51) Patrick Dulebohn cowers
(04/20 12:35:52) Kelsei A.T. hands the thing back over to Jules
(04/20 12:35:55) Patrick Dulebohn grins
(04/20 12:35:56) Briggs starts to laugh
(04/20 12:36:02) Kelsei A.T. sets towards resetting the podium's power and closing it back up.

(04/20 12:36:10) Kelsei A.T.: alright then..
(04/20 12:36:17) Kelsei A.T. dusts her hands off on her pants
(04/20 12:36:21) Kelsei A.T.: who wants to have the first test go?
(04/20 12:36:21) Jules Lavisham: Stage is yours, Kelsei
(04/20 12:36:26) Kelsei A.T.: me? alright...
(04/20 12:36:28) Patrick Dulebohn: Well, I figure one of you can give it a test run.
[Kelsei triggers podium]
(04/20 12:36:36) Tyion: (garbled static and interference) All right, then. How do I do... do I just... Oh! Got it, got it, thanks.
(04/20 12:36:44) Kelsei A.T.: ...that's the older one?
(04/20 12:36:47) Kelsei A.T.: maybe we need to cycle...
(04/20 12:36:50) Tyion: (clears throat) Hello, everybody. If all has gone to plan and our reverse-engineering of this particular piece of tech has worked, you are now hearing a playback of my voice coming through to you on a centuries-old D'ni sound system.
[Kelsei Cycles Kirel Podium]
(04/20 12:36:53) Dr. Watson: Hello? (tapping mic) Test, test. Victor, are we on? Ok. (clears throat) Ok, then.
(04/20 12:37:03) Dr. Watson: Hello, everyone. Um, thanks to Victor we've gotten some additional D'ni technology working.
(04/20 12:37:03) Hazado: There is Dr. Watson
[Kelsei cycles podium]
(04/20 12:37:08) Kelsei A.T.: watson, yes
(04/20 12:37:16) Hazado: once more
(04/20 12:37:16) Jules Lavisham crossed his fingers
(04/20 12:37:21) Murry: The subtitles are working!
(04/20 12:37:22) Kelsei A.T.: also, looks like the audio conversion for subtitles is working fine
(04/20 12:37:24) Patrick Dulebohn: Eh, give it one more go. See if it just needs to cycle through.
[Kelsei triggers podium again]
(04/20 12:37:27) Tyion: Ok. We good? We good? Hello again, everybody! It's good to see so many returning faces, along with a handful of new ones who have joined us in the last couple of months.
(04/20 12:37:33) Patrick Dulebohn: Ah, there we are.
(04/20 12:37:45) Tyion: And, might I dare say, quite a busy few months they have been.
(04/20 12:37:49) Kelsei A.T. claps her hands
(04/20 12:37:50) Tyion: Well, without further ado, let's get into it.
(04/20 12:37:55) Briggs: Nicely done!
(04/20 12:37:56) Tyion: Right. Kicking off with some general admin.
(04/20 12:37:59) Tyion: We've had some questions from explorers wondering how best to stay in the loop with what's going on down here, and we figured it was best to give you all a summary of what we have to work with right now.
(04/20 12:38:00) Murry claps his hands
(04/20 12:38:01) Patrick Dulebohn cheers
(04/20 12:38:04) Jules Lavisham exhales
(04/20 12:38:05) Kelsei A.T.: audio is working now. :)
(04/20 12:38:15) Tyion: Firstly, the All Guilds Meeting takes place on the first Saturday of every month here in Kirel at approximately 1300 KI time, barring of course holidays or Mysterium.
(04/20 12:38:18) Murry: Well Done!
(04/20 12:38:24) Kelsei A.T.: plug and play,
(04/20 12:38:29) Tyion: For those who haven't been, the AGM is the explorer community's longest ongoing public forum -- an ideal place to go to hear project reports, announcements, news on upcoming social events and generally to make your voices heard on everything happening in the Cavern.
(04/20 12:38:31) Kelsei A.T.: kudos go to hazado for getting that working :)
(04/20 12:38:32) Briggs: Play or pray?
(04/20 12:38:37) Patrick Dulebohn: And a bit of cycling.
(04/20 12:38:44) Kelsei A.T.: and a bit of cycling, yes
(04/20 12:38:51) Tyion: Uh, check in with the community for any one-off changes to that.
(04/20 12:38:56) Jules Lavisham: KI voice-to-chat seems to be doing what it's meant to
(04/20 12:38:57) Tyion: Secondly, the Guild of Messengers have a very well-maintained event calendar that covers pretty much everything from lessons on the D'ni language, story nights, to live music and meditation sessions.
(04/20 12:39:01) Kelsei A.T.: id imagine it'll start as expected in the future.
(04/20 12:39:03) Patrick Dulebohn: I'm sure it's something that's required when working with the lattice.
(04/20 12:39:05) Hazado: Well I did have the podium in the ... oh yeah cant talk about that yet
(04/20 12:39:11) Tyion: And you can find all that at the Guild website, uh, www.guildofmessengers.org/calendar.
(04/20 12:39:13) Patrick Dulebohn grins
(04/20 12:39:17) Kelsei A.T. laughs
(04/20 12:39:21) Tyion: Shout out in particular to the guys over at Radio Free D'ni, whose Sunday jams are of a particular favorite to more than one person on the restoration team.
(04/20 12:39:26) Hazado sweats a little
(04/20 12:39:29) Patrick Dulebohn: I believe that's our next stop or...?
(04/20 12:39:32) Kelsei A.T.: We are... Radio Freee D'niii....
(04/20 12:39:33) Tyion: And finally, a number of our more long-serving members of the community who remember the days of the DRC may have memories of their online forums, which notable figureheads used to keep us explorers up to date with on the news and the restoration and the like.
(04/20 12:39:39) Kelsei A.T.: yes, the Pub should be our next stop
(04/20 12:39:44) Kelsei A.T.: Calum asked me to check the podium
(04/20 12:39:45) Patrick Dulebohn nods his head
(04/20 12:39:50) Briggs: Can't wait to activate that KI slot
(04/20 12:39:54) Tyion: Uh, we are therefore happy to announce that our own restoration now has its very own forums, the Beneath forums, which can be found at, um... oh yes, uh, www.dniexplorer.com/forum.
(04/20 12:39:55) Kelsei A.T.: he's back to taking his break.
(04/20 12:40:01) Patrick Dulebohn: Good. He deserves one.
(04/20 12:40:09) Kelsei A.T.: speaking of the forums, he was posting as he worked
(04/20 12:40:12) Tyion: A number of restoration project leads post there fairly regularly on the current state of their endeavors, so if you're looking for the most up-to-date news on the work they've been doing as well as when it happens, the forum is definitely the place you want to be watching.
(04/20 12:40:19) Hazado: Alright, i need some food. Just stopped by to see this working
(04/20 12:40:19) Kelsei A.T.: good way to keep up to date on that, I think,
(04/20 12:40:25) Thumbs up from Kelsei A.T.
(04/20 12:40:30) Kelsei A.T.: happy food eating, Hazado :)
(04/20 12:40:30) Hazado waves goodbye
(04/20 12:40:33) Tyion: Moving on. Explorers waiting for new Ages to poke around in have seen their patience rewarded with the release of the Age of Tiam.
(04/20 12:40:36) Briggs: So you can get the forums to work inside the KI, right?
(04/20 12:40:40) Patrick Dulebohn: Yep, so far, so good!
(04/20 12:40:43) Tyion: This is an Age restored by the explorer Ametist, written for a family to unwind and relax together surrounded by fresh air, sunshine, and some very shiny crystals.
(04/20 12:40:46) Kelsei A.T.: I think Calum was just using a laptop
(04/20 12:40:54) Kelsei A.T.: he has like, 6 of the things he uses for restoration work
(04/20 12:40:56) Tyion: And you can find it in the Chiso library.
(04/20 12:41:00) Tyion: The last few months have seen some fascinating new research being presented from the Guild of Archivists as part of a new series called the Deep City Lectures.
(04/20 12:41:02) Kelsei A.T.: and how many KIs? I've lost count.
(04/20 12:41:12) Patrick Dulebohn: At least eight last I checked.
(04/20 12:41:12) Tyion: To date, we've had three such lectures taking place, the first being a historical account on the Mee-Dis War, the second focusing on the D'ni language and its role in D'ni culture, and the third examining the D'ni legal system.
(04/20 12:41:20) Briggs: I'd be lying if I said I only took one KI....
(04/20 12:41:28) Briggs: Didn't go as far to wear two at once, though
(04/20 12:41:28) Patrick Dulebohn shrugs
(04/20 12:41:30) Tyion: Uh, they generally get announced a week or so ahead of time, and the lectures are streamed live over the Guild of Archivists Twitch channel and subsequently are uploaded there and also on their YouTube channel.
(04/20 12:41:32) Kelsei A.T.: i've got a few, but Calum has so many on his desk
(04/20 12:41:35) Kelsei A.T. shakes her head
(04/20 12:41:40) Patrick Dulebohn: Yeah, two at once would be a lot of chatter.
(04/20 12:41:45) Tyion: So uh, yeah, check them out, and do the like and subscribe thing while you're at it.
(04/20 12:41:50) Tyion: Uh, a quick update on the status of the lake lighting. Work teams have been dispatched to the overflow station that Wayne has surveyed and are in the process of getting it up and running.
(04/20 12:42:01) Kelsei A.T.: anyways, i think this is working good. I'm going to head to the pub.
(04/20 12:42:03) Tyion: It is our understanding that the machinery on the station is part of a safety mechanism responsible for regulating the supply of food to the algae, preventing dangerous spikes in overfeeding, which -- if properly activated -- will advance the goal of restoring the cavern's day/night cycle tremendously.
(04/20 12:42:03) Kelsei A.T.: meet you there?
(04/20 12:42:12) Jules Lavisham: Catch you there Kels
(04/20 12:42:12) Briggs: I'll be along shortly
(04/20 12:42:15) Patrick Dulebohn: Ooo good. I've been meaning to hear about this.
(04/20 12:42:17) Kelsei A.T. waves goodbye
(04/20 12:42:23) Tyion: Uh, as we work to restore functionality to the station, for everyone else listening, now would be a very good time to visit Er'cana and start getting some regular pellet bakes underway.
(04/20 12:42:35) Tyion: As they always say, slow and steady wins the race.
(04/20 12:42:37) Patrick Dulebohn: Yep, better get over to the Pub.
(04/20 12:42:40) Tyion: Right, that's all we have for today. Um, I'll just say happy trails, explorers, and see you all again soon!
(04/20 12:42:42) Patrick Dulebohn: Feel free to join us!
(04/20 12:42:43) Jules Lavisham: Little bit of audio discrepancy. That'll be down to recording this one in the Chiso basement thought.
(04/20 12:42:49) Briggs cheers

(04/20 12:44:01) Kelsei A.T.: oh, did Calum put in the Nexus books?
(04/20 12:44:10) Kelsei A.T.: or was that someone else?
(04/20 12:44:21) Patrick Dulebohn: Oh, I did that. Felt they'd be more convenient.
(04/20 12:44:26) Kelsei A.T.: :)
(04/20 12:44:30) Patrick Dulebohn: Luckily, there are tons of those Books around.
(04/20 12:44:31) Kelsei A.T.: sneaky sneaky
(04/20 12:44:32) Patrick Dulebohn grins
(04/20 12:44:37) Kelsei A.T.: also, yes, a lot of nexus books

[Link to GoMePub]
(04/20 12:45:20) Patrick Dulebohn: Excellent! They even put up the deco for D'ni new year!
(04/20 12:45:21) Kelsei A.T.: ah, I see Calum put in the podium and moved the book like he said he was
(04/20 12:45:23) Briggs: Hah! Blue!
(04/20 12:45:29) Kelsei A.T.: ...now who did *that*?
(04/20 12:45:33) Patrick Dulebohn laughs
(04/20 12:45:43) Kelsei A.T.: I sure hope Calum didn't spend extra time helping on that.
(04/20 12:45:52) Patrick Dulebohn: Alright...should be give this thing a test?
(04/20 12:45:57) Patrick Dulebohn: Is the work finished?
(04/20 12:46:01) Murry: Is it ready?
(04/20 12:46:06) Briggs: Oops, was I not supposed to use it yet
(04/20 12:46:07) Patrick Dulebohn: I assume so given the imagers reset.
(04/20 12:46:07) Kelsei A.T.: Calum said he got it all ready
(04/20 12:46:18) Kelsei A.T.: blue!
(04/20 12:46:19) Aurelias: Blue!
(04/20 12:46:21) Briggs cheers
(04/20 12:46:23) Patrick Dulebohn: Yes!
(04/20 12:46:24) Patrick Dulebohn cheers
(04/20 12:46:26) A link has been added to your Nexus
(04/20 12:46:31) Briggs: Finally, now we can party here so much faster
(04/20 12:46:32) Kelsei A.T.: A link has been added!
(04/20 12:46:41) Kelsei A.T.: well, I'd say that's a successful fix.
(04/20 12:46:44) Patrick Dulebohn: Looks like the Link was added. Fantastic work!
(04/20 12:46:49) Murry cheers
(04/20 12:46:52) Briggs: Who do we have to thank? That you, Patrick?
(04/20 12:46:54) Kelsei A.T.: good work to both you and Calum on that one, Patrick :)
(04/20 12:47:00) Briggs thanks you very much!
(04/20 12:47:04) Kelsei A.T. claps her hands
(04/20 12:47:04) Patrick Dulebohn: It was a team effort, as always.
(04/20 12:47:04)
(04/20 12:47:06) Patrick Dulebohn nods
(04/20 12:47:18) Kelsei A.T.: the podium works!
(04/20 12:47:24) Patrick Dulebohn: As you can see, in anticipation, we moved the Chiso Linking Book out here for convenience.
(04/20 12:47:30) Patrick Dulebohn points
(04/20 12:47:32) Briggs: It doesn't chomp down on your hand or anything
(04/20 12:47:46) Patrick Dulebohn: Nope, should work just the same as the ones outside in the city.
(04/20 12:47:48) Sestra cheers
(04/20 12:47:56) Briggs: I have found spiders in the ones in the city before, just a warning
(04/20 12:47:58) Kelsei A.T.: though i think the ferry terminal one has some issues slightly,
(04/20 12:48:17) Kelsei A.T.: I've heard reports of your Ki getting stuck inside sometimes,
(04/20 12:48:18) Patrick Dulebohn: Heh, that's not good, Briggs. We'll have to spray them a bit on occasion.
(04/20 12:48:22) Kelsei A.T.: might need to have Calum look at that.
(04/20 12:48:29) Kelsei A.T.: though, maybe it's those spiders and their webs?
(04/20 12:48:30) Kelsei A.T. shrugs
(04/20 12:48:32) Patrick Dulebohn: Although really, that should be done for all kinds of things everyone touches these days.
(04/20 12:48:39) Briggs nods sadly
(04/20 12:48:43) Patrick Dulebohn: No, not webs...but lattice!
(04/20 12:48:45) Patrick Dulebohn laughs
(04/20 12:48:49) Briggs: Hah!
(04/20 12:48:52) Kelsei A.T.: oh! i see the lights got turned up too
(04/20 12:49:08) Patrick Dulebohn: Yes, we we finally able find a way to funnel more energy into here.
(04/20 12:49:25) Briggs: I just realized how long it's been since I have been back in here
(04/20 12:49:26) Kelsei A.T.: might explain the power flicker in the lights he saw earlier,
(04/20 12:49:30) Kelsei A.T.: calum remarked on that.
(04/20 12:49:33) Patrick Dulebohn nods his head
(04/20 12:49:42) TOOO: Shorah, everyone!
(04/20 12:49:46) Patrick Dulebohn: Jules, the pedestal KI slot is working!
(04/20 12:49:46) Briggs: Hello!
(04/20 12:49:47) Kelsei A.T.: shorah, TOOO :)
(04/20 12:49:50) Jules Lavisham: Shorah all
(04/20 12:49:54) Jules Lavisham: Oh fantastic!
(04/20 12:49:56) Kelsei A.T.: the podium works! :)
(04/20 12:50:04) Jules Lavisham: Right, I'll have me some of that.
(04/20 12:50:05) TOOO cheers
(04/20 12:50:12) Patrick Dulebohn: By all means!
(04/20 12:50:17) Kelsei A.T.: so, D'ni New Year soon,
(04/20 12:50:20) Kelsei A.T.: what day is that again?
(04/20 12:50:26) Kelsei A.T.: i think there's an event planned for it,
(04/20 12:50:31) Jules Lavisham: Fantastic work on getting that up and running
(04/20 12:50:37) Patrick Dulebohn: Hmm...the exact date escapes me at the moment. Best to check with Minasunda.
(04/20 12:50:43) Kelsei A.T.: i'll do that :)
(04/20 12:50:45) TOOO: Look at all the champagne flutes they put out for us! :-)
(04/20 12:50:55) Aurelias: I think it's Leenovoo 29 today
(04/20 12:50:56) Briggs: I think those are all for Jules :P
(04/20 12:50:59) Patrick Dulebohn: Or the Guild of Messengers' calendar. I'm sure one will have the definitive answer.
(04/20 12:50:59) Kelsei A.T. starts to laugh
(04/20 12:51:04) TOOO tries to gab one, but cannot. Darn.
(04/20 12:51:05) Kelsei A.T.: one or the other, sure
(04/20 12:51:10) Jules Lavisham: I know Cal was tearing half his hair out trying to get that Lattice business sorted
(04/20 12:51:12) Patrick Dulebohn: However, since chatting with Mina is more fun...
(04/20 12:51:15) Patrick Dulebohn grins
(04/20 12:51:17) Murry: Okay that was a liitle concerning. I was in darkness for almost a minute before I arrived to the Nexus. But it works!
(04/20 12:51:20) Kelsei A.T. grins too
(04/20 12:51:38) Patrick Dulebohn: Oof, hopefully we didn't smack the lattice around too much.
(04/20 12:51:40) Jules Lavisham laugh
(04/20 12:51:42) Briggs: Is it just me, or is it a bit more colorful at the bar here now?
(04/20 12:51:42) Kelsei A.T.: we might need to check on the lights in there,
(04/20 12:51:44) TOOO: i hope that's champagne and not Lake water!
(04/20 12:51:54) Jules Lavisham: What manner of Brut do you take me for, Patrick
(04/20 12:51:54) Kelsei A.T.: new years decos are up :)
(04/20 12:51:58) Murry: I heard Jules is buying the first round...
(04/20 12:52:17) Kelsei A.T.: excuse me for a moment while I text Calum to tell him the good news :)
(04/20 12:52:19) Patrick Dulebohn: My goodness! You don't honestly think I'd serve lake water, would you?
(04/20 12:52:19) TOOO: there's a round imager here! Does anyone know what it does, if anything?
(04/20 12:52:20) Murry: Eddie's here!
(04/20 12:52:21) Patrick Dulebohn laughs
(04/20 12:52:29) TOOO laughs
(04/20 12:52:41) Briggs: No no, not at all, Patrick. I know this is top-notch Great Zero water!
(04/20 12:52:56) Patrick Dulebohn: Plenty to celebrate today as well. We've made some big leaps in working with D'ni technology, for starters.
(04/20 12:53:03) TOOO: poor Eddie! Trapped downstairs :(
(04/20 12:53:04) Jules Lavisham: The cause of more than one superhero origin story, apparently
(04/20 12:53:22) Briggs: Did I hear correctly that you managed to retrofit USB onto the kirel podium?
(04/20 12:53:26) Patrick Dulebohn: I'm genuinely curious how that ball can get stuck in so many places. It's almost diabolical.
(04/20 12:53:31) Murry: Ah! Fresh coffee.
(04/20 12:53:39) Briggs: Dia-ball-ical
(04/20 12:53:47) Jules Lavisham: We did! An extraordinary bit of engineering, courtesy of Hazado
(04/20 12:53:48) Patrick Dulebohn: Eh, it's a bit more complicated than that, Briggs, but essentially...sort of.
(04/20 12:53:50) Patrick Dulebohn grins
(04/20 12:53:58) Briggs: That's seriously very impressive
(04/20 12:54:05) Kelsei A.T.: it's certainly not a bog standard USB setup
(04/20 12:54:08) Jules Lavisham: Totally beyond my understanding
(04/20 12:54:11) Patrick Dulebohn: Although I'm not the swiftest with the tech, I believe there's some sort of adapter involved.
(04/20 12:54:23) Jules Lavisham: There's some manner of technical wizardry involved.
(04/20 12:54:30) Briggs: Of course, but you made D'ni tech work with surface tech, which is huge
(04/20 12:54:32) Kelsei A.T.: Hazado would know best, as he did the work on it.
(04/20 12:54:34) Patrick Dulebohn: How our good tech people came up with that will forever be a mystery to me!
(04/20 12:54:37) TOOO: Well, I don't know how to move Eddie to get it back up
(04/20 12:54:42) TOOO shrugs
(04/20 12:54:42) Kelsei A.T.: he also did a lot of the work on the Wall.
(04/20 12:54:44) Briggs: Haz is a wizard, this is true
(04/20 12:54:49) Patrick Dulebohn: My guess is MacGyver is somewhere on the team.
(04/20 12:54:54) Patrick Dulebohn laughs
(04/20 12:54:57) Kelsei A.T.: him and Calum were tearing their hair out over some of those technical mishaps.
(04/20 12:55:07) Briggs: I really liked testing the wall, but I'm very excited that it's now open for business
(04/20 12:55:23) Patrick Dulebohn: Hazado has been an absolute miracle worker. He's essentially our Scotty on this starship D'ni.
(04/20 12:55:30) Kelsei A.T. requests a coffee mug of chocolate milk, Please Patrick, :)
(04/20 12:55:31) Jules Lavisham: Beyond my understanding. I'm still dealing with the jump from CDs to DVDs.
(04/20 12:55:33) Briggs: Well said
(04/20 12:55:38) TOOO: very, very impressed. Nice job, everybody!
(04/20 12:55:50) Kelsei A.T.: there's certainly more in the works,
(04/20 12:55:51) Briggs: Ah Jules, maybe you can help me repair my 5 1/4 floppy drives sometime :P
(04/20 12:55:54) Patrick Dulebohn slides a mug over to Kelsei
(04/20 12:56:03) Kelsei A.T.: i think Elonin is scheduled for later this month? Ah, thanks, Patrick
(04/20 12:56:11) Kelsei A.T. takes her drink and sips at it.
(04/20 12:56:13) Jules Lavisham: My gratitude starts and stops with the ability to play Under a Killing Moon without the need for eight disk swaps
(04/20 12:56:17) Patrick Dulebohn: Yes, there's not just champagne but other things to drink too. Help yourselves!
(04/20 12:56:40) Patrick Dulebohn: Yes, a new area of the cavern restored by Dulcamara and ametist is coming up.
(04/20 12:56:46) TOOO: i noticed that the rules book for the Wall is missing, but otherwise, it works great. I noticed there was an announcement in D'ni at the end of the Wall climb. Was that your voice also, Patrick?
(04/20 12:57:03) Briggs: Hm maybe the book fell off
(04/20 12:57:04) Kelsei A.T.: the Rules Book is missing? Dang it, i'll check with the storehouse...
(04/20 12:57:05) Patrick Dulebohn: Heh, no. That was someone more fluent.
(04/20 12:57:14) TOOO: Ah, ok
(04/20 12:57:17) TOOO says okay
(04/20 12:57:36) Jules Lavisham takes a sip of his champagne
(04/20 12:57:40) Patrick Dulebohn: Oh, the D'ni...no, that's original audio from when the wall was being used by them way back when. There's still some in there.
(04/20 12:57:56) TOOO: so, that's from someone at Cyan, then.
(04/20 12:58:06) Kelsei A.T.: hm? No, i dont think so,
(04/20 12:58:10) Patrick Dulebohn: Nope.
(04/20 12:58:23) Kelsei A.T.: it's older than Cyan and the DRC's partnerships, for sure.
(04/20 12:58:27) Patrick Dulebohn: I think the last time Cyan stopped in was when Rand Miller visited for the Tiam reveal.
(04/20 12:58:45) Patrick Dulebohn: Yep, it's old archival D'ni...presumably one of the Guild Masters of the GoMa.
(04/20 12:58:45) TOOO: Really? hm
(04/20 12:59:01) Jules Lavisham: Mmm. All that's needed is a finger buffet and this would be ideal for a Networking event.
(04/20 12:59:03) Kelsei A.T.: you might want to ask r'Tay if he can translate it.
(04/20 12:59:05) Briggs: I'm surprised it survived at all, honestly
(04/20 12:59:09) Kelsei A.T.: D'ni is... not my strongsuit.
(04/20 12:59:14) Briggs: It sounds pretty degraded
(04/20 12:59:21) Briggs: But it was a nice surprise to hear!
(04/20 12:59:30) Kelsei A.T.: To hear Calum talk of it, Briggs, it was apparently hidden deep within the system and only triggered when he and Hazado botched an upload somehow.
(04/20 12:59:37) Kelsei A.T.: whole wall system crashed and rebooted on them.
(04/20 12:59:42) TOOO: (dramatic music!)
(04/20 12:59:43) Patrick Dulebohn: You've never experienced the Gahreesen wall until you've heard it in the original D'ni. Heh.
(04/20 12:59:46) Jules Lavisham: Shorah Franklife!
(04/20 12:59:49) Briggs waves hello
(04/20 13:00:01) Briggs starts to laugh
(04/20 13:00:06) TOOO recognizes the Star Trek reference :)
(04/20 13:00:12) Briggs: Happy little accidents
(04/20 13:00:19) Franklife: shorah
(04/20 13:00:21) Murry: Star Trek VI
(04/20 13:00:22) Patrick Dulebohn: Indeed.
(04/20 13:00:25) Jules Lavisham: Yes, I'm setting aside some time to give the Wall a proper going over.
(04/20 13:00:25) TOOO nods his head
(04/20 13:00:26) Kelsei A.T. grins
(04/20 13:00:32) Patrick Dulebohn: Heh, I see you noticed, Murry.
(04/20 13:00:33) Patrick Dulebohn nods
(04/20 13:00:42) Briggs: where'd that beach ball go
(04/20 13:00:45) TOOO: all in all, it's just another brick in the Wall :)
(04/20 13:00:58) Murry: I do love that Starship! :))
(04/20 13:01:03) Aurelias: I moved Eddie upstairs, Briggs
(04/20 13:01:11) Briggs: Oh, you got it out, nice
(04/20 13:01:18) TOOO: oK, I shall see you later!

(04/20 13:01:21) Patrick Dulebohn: I actually wondered if we could have some Pink Floyd playing while people climb the wall, but alas, we'd probably get sued or something.
(04/20 13:01:22) Aurelias: He's checking his Insta on the laptop
(04/20 13:01:23) Kelsei A.T.: later, TOOO,
(04/20 13:01:23) Briggs: Be well!
(04/20 13:01:23) TOOO waves goodbye
(04/20 13:01:47) Kelsei A.T.: heh, well, Patrick, that wont stop folks from streaming their own music
(04/20 13:01:57) Kelsei A.T.: the Door Run contests have had music streams :)
(04/20 13:01:59) Patrick Dulebohn: As they should!
(04/20 13:02:02) Jules Lavisham: All you need is someone to overdub it with that Endless Staircase music from Mario
(04/20 13:02:06) Murry: I want to tackle the wall soon.
(04/20 13:02:09) Kelsei A.T.: i'd imagine future tournaments will have similar,
(04/20 13:02:23) Jules Lavisham: One of my students linked that to me recently. Talk about an earworm.
(04/20 13:02:24) Patrick Dulebohn: Or the near-endless ladder music from Metal Gear Solid 3.
(04/20 13:02:26) Patrick Dulebohn grins
(04/20 13:02:32) Briggs: What a thrill....
(04/20 13:02:38) Patrick Dulebohn: YES.
(04/20 13:02:57) Jules Lavisham: Worse than the time I had that Flock of Seagulls song stuck in my head for 6 months
(04/20 13:03:02) Murry: Will MirABot be able to link to a Wall?
(04/20 13:03:07) Patrick Dulebohn: Oh my.
(04/20 13:03:15) Jules Lavisham: MHM.
(04/20 13:03:16) Kelsei A.T.: speaking of streaming, it sounds like Fil is stuck with a KI update limbo
(04/20 13:03:24) thoekenem.dj nods his head
(04/20 13:03:28) Patrick Dulebohn: Uh oh.
(04/20 13:03:37) Jules Lavisham: Ulp.
(04/20 13:03:41) Patrick Dulebohn: Again, really hope we didn't bust the lattice.
(04/20 13:03:46) Briggs: I haven't been able to listen to Fil perform in such a long time
(04/20 13:03:48) Kelsei A.T.: hopefully not,
(04/20 13:03:54) Kelsei A.T.: he's streaming tonight instead it seems.
(04/20 13:04:13) Briggs: My KI appears to be working properly, at least
(04/20 13:04:14) Kelsei A.T.: well, he's on right now, actually, hold on...
(04/20 13:04:19) Kelsei A.T.: http://www.urutunes.com/Fil
(04/20 13:04:22) Kelsei A.T.: :)
(04/20 13:04:30) Patrick Dulebohn: The show must go on!
(04/20 13:04:35) Kelsei A.T.: indeed.
(04/20 13:04:44) thoekenem.dj: Fil does a live music show 3 days a week
(04/20 13:04:53) Kelsei A.T.: indeed. he does a lot of music!
(04/20 13:04:55) Patrick Dulebohn: OK, going to test this round trip back here. I'll be back in a few.
(04/20 13:04:56) Kelsei A.T.: it's nice. :)
(04/20 13:05:03) Kelsei A.T.: ok, happy linking, Patrick
(04/20 13:05:38) Prad salutes
(04/20 13:05:39) thoekenem.dj: hello Prad
(04/20 13:05:40) Jules Lavisham tunes in to Fil
(04/20 13:05:44) Kelsei A.T. goes to take a seat in the alcove...
(04/20 13:05:48) Prad: hi thoekenem
(04/20 13:05:54) Jules Lavisham: Aaaah, House of the Rising Sun. Excellent.
(04/20 13:05:59) Kelsei A.T.: so much nicer in here :)
(04/20 13:06:05) Briggs: Does Fil still play drums on his streams?
(04/20 13:06:08) Prad: house of the raising son
(04/20 13:06:21) IwonK: shorah everyone :)
(04/20 13:06:24) thoekenem.dj waves hello
(04/20 13:06:25) Briggs: Greetings :)
(04/20 13:06:26) Kelsei A.T.: shorah, iwonk :)
(04/20 13:06:28) Jules Lavisham: He does indeed, Briggs
(04/20 13:06:31) Kelsei A.T.: make sure to snag the nexus terminal link!
(04/20 13:06:35) Kelsei A.T.: it's working now :)
(04/20 13:06:36) Patrick Dulebohn: Oh my...oh, that is very handy!
(04/20 13:06:40) Briggs: Nice, I love him on drums the best
(04/20 13:06:41) IwonK: I will :D
(04/20 13:06:47) Murry: Hi Iwonk. You just missed Eddie.
(04/20 13:06:49) Briggs: Welcome back, Pat!
(04/20 13:06:52) Prad: on my way out. not now. just arrived.
(04/20 13:06:54) Kelsei A.T.: it will be very handy for sure, patrick :)
(04/20 13:07:00) IwonK: I will get him next time ;]
(04/20 13:07:03) Patrick Dulebohn: Yep, we've got a working Nexus Link to here. Feel free to use it anytime now. Tell your friends.
(04/20 13:07:14) Kelsei A.T.: that will make getting her far easier, yes,
(04/20 13:07:16) IwonK feels free to use the Nexus link
(04/20 13:07:23) Murry: No lang time for you Patrick?
(04/20 13:07:27) Patrick Dulebohn: I did notice that, if you've already got a lot listed in Public Links, you may need to scroll down. Just an FYI.
(04/20 13:07:27) Jules Lavisham: Does the Pub Nexus link have a population counter?
(04/20 13:07:30) Prad: shorah Miss Eddie (IwonK missed him)
(04/20 13:07:47) Patrick Dulebohn: It does not, unfortunately. Something to work on.
(04/20 13:08:07) Briggs: I'm hearing someone found the wall instruction book and is headed there to put it back where it goes
(04/20 13:08:10) Murry: He went upstairs when he heard Iwonk was on the way. :))
(04/20 13:08:24) Kelsei A.T.: that's good, Briggs,
(04/20 13:08:24) IwonK: oh Eddieeeeeeee! ;]
(04/20 13:08:32) Jules Lavisham: That'll be a good one to implement. Events here will definitely scoop up more people who aren't on the usual hangouts
(04/20 13:08:43) Kelsei A.T.: yes, indeed,
(04/20 13:09:02) Kelsei A.T.: it wont make it any easier to get to Chiso, though
(04/20 13:09:06) Patrick Dulebohn: That IS good. Guess we forgot to put that out. Given how much Hazado was juggling, I could see where the booklet was missed.
(04/20 13:09:13) Kelsei A.T.: you still have an extra link once just to get there, heh
(04/20 13:09:17) Kelsei A.T.: but that's fine ;)
(04/20 13:09:30) Kelsei A.T.: the pub is a tad more important in the social construct matters, i'd say
(04/20 13:09:39) Franklife: clap
(04/20 13:09:56) Patrick Dulebohn: Indeed. Great place for greeting. We need another Guild of Greeters, stat!
(04/20 13:09:59) Murry: I'm going to need someone to teach me how to use the wall. I don't want to have to go see Doc Tenny with an injury.
(04/20 13:10:20) Kelsei A.T.: or, well, get the old Greeters back perhaps?
(04/20 13:10:29) Kelsei A.T.: i dont think we need a NEW New Greeters guild
(04/20 13:10:33) Kelsei A.T.: New Squared?
(04/20 13:10:36) Patrick Dulebohn: Maybe. Depends on if they're interested.
(04/20 13:10:39) Kelsei A.T.: indeed.
(04/20 13:10:39) Aurelias (I'm on the surface, be back in a minute):
(04/20 13:10:42) Briggs: Oh Murry it's very safe! Mostly!
(04/20 13:10:46) Kelsei A.T.: just wear a suit
(04/20 13:10:51) Kelsei A.T.: dont climb it bare
(04/20 13:10:56) Jules Lavisham: Oh, speaking of grand revivals,
(04/20 13:10:59) Kelsei A.T.: or, well, you know what i mean.
(04/20 13:11:00) Patrick Dulebohn: Indeed. The mechanics will provide you with one.
(04/20 13:11:10) Jules Lavisham: Tyion's in the works for getting his old CCN group back together
(04/20 13:11:11) Murry: Do I have to wear a tie?
(04/20 13:11:12) Briggs: Nude wall climbing?
(04/20 13:11:18) Kelsei A.T.: CCN?
(04/20 13:11:18) Prad: in that alcove the uru karaoke are held too... but when we voted if here or in karaoke's hood I voted against the pub, but was in the minority... here you can't see yourself and all the other avvies when in that small cave, always have to switch between first person and third person. in the hood one can see oneself and all the others all the time in third person...
(04/20 13:11:24) Patrick Dulebohn: Really, Jules? That's great news!
(04/20 13:11:30) Briggs: Oh, the podcast?
(04/20 13:11:32) Jules Lavisham: Cavern Communications Network, Kels
(04/20 13:11:43) Briggs: I am thinking of something else
(04/20 13:11:43) Kelsei A.T.: is that... related to the old TCT Podcast?
(04/20 13:11:48) Kelsei A.T.: i used to listen to them back in the day.
(04/20 13:11:55) Jules Lavisham: Did a little bit of work with them back in the '07 Restoration days
(04/20 13:11:55) Briggs: Yeah, I was thinking of TCT!
(04/20 13:12:10) Patrick Dulebohn: Heh, I was only a lurker back then.
(04/20 13:12:16) Kelsei A.T.: my, having some active news would be amazing
(04/20 13:12:16) Briggs: Me too, me too
(04/20 13:12:21) IwonK passes around lurking cookies
(04/20 13:12:21) Jules Lavisham: Yes, Ty got his start with TCT. CCN is his own one.
(04/20 13:12:28) Patrick Dulebohn: Just diving into the restoration effort, wondering how the DRC did it.
(04/20 13:12:30) Kelsei A.T.: i'm feeling all aflutter with nostalgia
(04/20 13:12:43) Jules Lavisham: He expressed an interest in potentially having recorded chats with people on the restoration team
(04/20 13:12:53) Patrick Dulebohn: Ah, I'd be happy to do so.
(04/20 13:13:00) Kelsei A.T.: oh, i'd be happy to as well,
(04/20 13:13:05) Jules Lavisham: Could be another way of getting the word out on assorted projects and happenings
(04/20 13:13:13) Kelsei A.T.: i'm sure Calum would love to ramble at someone too
(04/20 13:13:22) Patrick Dulebohn: Very true. One thing we can really use is more exposure.
(04/20 13:13:22) Kelsei A.T.: indeed,
(04/20 13:13:23) Jules Lavisham: Excellent. I had a feeling they may be interest.
(04/20 13:13:25) Kelsei A.T.: that would be good,
(04/20 13:14:11) Briggs: I need to clear out my KI sometime. Can't take any more images
(04/20 13:14:19) Briggs: But I guess that's why we have phones
(04/20 13:14:19) Patrick Dulebohn: Alright, going to get going soon. Don't forget...in the next couple of months, make sure you stow away any sensitive restoration materials. We'll be letting people drop into the lower Chiso floor.
(04/20 13:14:21) Patrick Dulebohn grins
(04/20 13:14:31) Prad: NoMore KI images :)
(04/20 13:14:38) Kelsei A.T.: take care, patrick :)
(04/20 13:14:39) Kelsei A.T. waves goodbye
(04/20 13:14:49) Briggs: See you around, Patrick
(04/20 13:14:49) Jules Lavisham: Got it. Nice seeing you down here, Patrick
(04/20 13:15:02) Jules Lavisham: Happy trails! Catch you back at the office.
(04/20 13:15:09) Kelsei A.T.: I'll double check and stow anything sensitive in my Hood. :)
(04/20 13:15:10) Patrick Dulebohn: I'll talk to you folks later. Keep up the good work! And tell Calum to come up for air a bit more. Hehehe.
(04/20 13:15:15) Prad: shorah Aurelias
(04/20 13:15:16) IwonK: I'd like to have ALotOf ki images, Prads ;]
(04/20 13:15:16) Patrick Dulebohn salutes
(04/20 13:15:21) Kelsei A.T.: will do.
(04/20 13:15:21) Aurelias: shorah Prad :))
(04/20 13:15:24) Jules Lavisham: We'll certainly try
(04/20 13:15:26) Prad: lol IwonK

Okay, that's everything, I think.

I did cut out some snipits of personal dialogue I'm sure folks- myself included- wouldn't want shared publicly.

Also, edited in some clarity when the subtitles powered on.
