On February 12, a topic about the new website dniexplorer.com was started. At that time, it showed the following image, called b-lon.jpg:

It was discovered that the site was hosted by K. Lord (Tweek, Cyan intern). Also revealed was that b'lon is D'ni for 'to explore'.
Explorers were quick to suggest that the last number might be a reference to The Watcher's Words, as it fits the common notation style for such references. It was then suggested that in fact the other numbers were also Words references, forming ""1:22, 1:35, 1:38, 1:39, 1:40, 1:56, 2:66". Using this interpretation, Frestro revealed that the numbers seemed to point at the following phrases:

New events surround us,
Knowing the least is the path of wisdom.
The passing of time brings the path to the gathered.
A breach has been cut, and now the paths are joined.
The giving of gifts heals the wound of the builder.
There is noise where once there was silence;
Incomplete is the task at hand.

Subsequently, the source code of the page was changed to include:

"A hat is tipped to Frestro."

Suggesting that this solution was the correct one.

February 13: the image on the page was replaced by this one (reconstructed from a later image):

It was noticed that the pen contained a hardly visible inscription, as shown in this enhanced image:

It led to a new page,
dniexplorer.com/b-choor.html, containing a new image, b-choor.jpg (reconstructed from a later image):

The filename was found to contain the D'ni phrase b'choor, meaning 'to learn', and the pebble to the left to have a D'ni numeral 1 scratched into it. The text on the note was discovered to be a ROT13'd version of the voice-over from the original trailer for realMyst:

Dreams are as portals,
flat visions of misty places
Fragments bound below my surface.

but I can write dreams,
they flow from me,
inscribed, yet now unbound.
I touch them, and they are real.

And they are real.

After this find, one of the fingers on the main page image faded away (reconstructed from a later image):

The b-choor image was also changed to a more saturated version:

February 14: The source code of the b-choor page pas found to now contain the following:

5 22 5 18 25 20 8 9 14 7-16 18 5 3 1 18 9 15 21 19 12 25-2 1 12 1 14 3 5 4
20 8 5-19 12 9 7 8 20 5 19 20-16 18 5 19 19-3 1 14 20 21 18 14
9 20-21 16 19 9 4 5-4 15 23 14

1 14 4-9 20-20 15 15 11-21 19-1 7 5 19
20 15-3 18 5 1 20 5
1 14 4-23 5-6 9 12 12-21 16-20 8 5-16 1 7 5 19
20 1 11 5-9 20-4 15 23 14-9 14-1-4 1 25

The solution was discovered, by assigning the letters of the alphabet to the numbers:

everything precariously balanced
the slightest press can turn
it upside down

and it took us ages
to create
and we fill up the pages
take it down in a day

Later, another finger was discovered to have faded from the main page:

The source code of the b-choor page was change to include:

A tip of the hat to tahgayrahl

And at the end of the code from before was changed to:
5 22 5 18 25 20 8 9 14 7-16 18 5 3 1 18 9 15 21 19 12 25-2 1 12 1 14 3 5 4
20 8 5-19 12 9 7 8 20 5 19 20-16 18 5 19 19-3 1 14 20 21 18 14
9 20-21 16 19 9 4 5-4 15 23 14

1 14 4-9 20-20 15 15 11-21 19-1 7 5 19
20 15-3 18 5 1 20 5
1 14 4-23 5-6 9 12 12-21 16-20 8 5-16 1 7 5 19
20 1 11 5-9 20-4 15 23 14-9 14-1-4 1 25

.8 20 13 12

Meaning:

everything precariously balanced
the slightest press can turn
it upside down

and it took us ages
to create
and we fill up the pages
take it down in a day

.html

The b'choor image was saturated further:

Soon after, the main page started showing a version of Lord's blog, Beneath. Lord posted in the MOUL topic that the "last puzzle was solved" and that the puzzle was moved to dniexplorer.com/b-lon. Apparently, the rabbit hole goes deeper than revealed in the thread so far...

Somewhat later it was found that the "precariously balanced" text are part of the lyrics from this song, called Ages, by Kosheen.

Subsequently the page
dniexplorer.com/kosheen.html was discovered. It contained this image:

A transcription:

so much to learn, are we
capable? will we emerge
untainted?

another circle,
another fall?

b'lon, b'choor, b'dnee

where are you james?

The source code contains:

A tip of the hat to theclam/Lazugod

A welcome post was posted on the D'ni Explorer blog.

To be continued?
