Dereno is the name given to the landmass at the northern pole of Rezihksehv where Pod 25 is situated. Lodged within the surrounding ice the Pod allows for views both above and below the sea level.
Description
An arctic environment, Dereno reaches temperatures of extreme cold. Above the sea level ice fields stretch out all around the Pod, dotted with large wind sheered columns of ice and curious looking trees that look almost like cacti.
Very little wildlife beyond the trees reside on the surface. Below the surface however, is a different story. Large coral columns rise from the depths like trees with a variety of fish swimming among the branches of coral.
Bahro Portal
Like the other Pods located in the regions of Negilahn,Payiferen, and Tetsonot at certain points during the day cycle of the Age a Bahro Portal appears in the lower levels of the Pod.
The overall point of the portal has yet to be discovered, interaction with it Links a person to one of the Bahro Caves within one of the Stone Rings can be found in four segments.
Some explorers believe that the point of the Bahro Portal is to teach patience and observational skills, with some explorers referring to it as the "Path of Observation".
Notable Wildlife
Willow Vine are strange bug like creatures with a soft almost squishy body. They hang on the rock from their tails and feed upon the layer of blue algae that collects there.
Whilst the D'ni name for these creatures has not yet been discovered they were named Keanulints by human explorer Alahmnat due to their resemblance to the metal creature planted in the stomach of Keanu Reeves' character in the Matrix film.
