Ashem'en District is an industrial area that was originally called the Uran District when it first opened. It was later renamed by King Me'emen.
It was built to replace the older Nehw'eril District which was located closer to the city and population of D'ni.
Prior to the development of the Uran District the main industrial district that handled resources being brought into D'ni from the Ages was the Nehw'eril District.
