Dereno is the name given to the landmass at the northern pole of Rezihksehv where Pod 25 is situated. Lodged within the surrounding ice the Pod allows for views both above and below the sea level.
Description
An arctic environment, Dereno reaches temperatures of extreme cold. Above the sea level ice fields stretch out all around the Pod, dotted with large wind sheered columns of ice and curious looking trees that look almost like cacti.
Very little wildlife beyond the trees reside on the surface. Below the surface however, is a different story. Large coral columns rise from the depths like trees with a variety of fish swimming among the branches of coral.
Bahro Portal
Like the other Pods located in the regions of Negilahn,Payiferen, and Tetsonot at certain points during the day cycle of the Age a Bahro Portal appears in the lower levels of the Pod.
The overall point of the portal has yet to be discovered, interaction with it Links a person to a Bahro Cave within the cave one of the Stone Wedges can be found in four segments.
Some explorers believe that the point of the Bahro Portal is to teach patience and observational skills, with some explorers referring to it as the "Path of Observation".
Notable Wildlife
Fan-tailed Icefish are one of the many various species of fish found in the waters of Dereno. Small in stature these fish are a metallic grey colour with fan like flippers.
They seem to group together with the Ruddy Angelfish and Striped Rockfish sticking close to the coral structures that surround the Pod.
Kainyana looks like a cross between a large fish and a manta. They bare a very striking resemblance to the Kamkenta of Kahlo.
They appear to have a single compound eye at the front of their heads, but it could also be a filtering system for eating algae in the water much akin to the whales on Earth.
Koralibou is one of the coral variants that live under the Dereno waters. Unlike its counterpart Koralter, Koralibou grows upon flat rocky outcroppings as well as the seabed.
The living conditions within the water has allowed koralibou to grow exponentially, covering a large area within the area.
Koralter unlike its counterpart Koralibou, Koralter grows in a large tree like manner, lodging itself within the ice fields of Dereno and seemingly growing downwards away from the light source.
As a result of its difference in growth, Koralter has not expanded over such a large area like its counterpart.
KRuddy Angelfish unlike its counterpart Koralibou, Koralter grows in a large tree like manner, lodging itself within the ice fields of Dereno and seemingly growing downwards away from the light source.
As a result of its difference in growth, Koralter has not expanded over such a large area like its counterpart.
Striped Rockfish unlike its counterpart Koralibou, Koralter grows in a large tree like manner, lodging itself within the ice fields of Dereno and seemingly growing downwards away from the light source.
As a result of its difference in growth, Koralter has not expanded over such a large area like its counterpart.
Terhalla unlike its counterpart Koralibou, Koralter grows in a large tree like manner, lodging itself within the ice fields of Dereno and seemingly growing downwards away from the light source.
As a result of its difference in growth, Koralter has not expanded over such a large area like its counterpart.
Verdenchir unlike its counterpart Koralibou, Koralter grows in a large tree like manner, lodging itself within the ice fields of Dereno and seemingly growing downwards away from the light source.
As a result of its difference in growth, Koralter has not expanded over such a large area like its counterpart.
