Beneath is a digital collection of my journals and research notes from D’ni. This site chronicles over 10 years of being in the cavern, from my first visit to learning to Write Ages.
I first heard about D’ni from the game Myst which was created by a company called CyanWorlds.
I started learning as much as I could about the Ages described in the game and D’ni, one might say it became an obsession. In 2000 I had heard rumors of the cavern being inhabited again, I followed every clue and read any piece of information I could.
In 2002 the DRC site went public, and we knew that D’ni had been discovered and people were in the cavern restoring the lost empire.
In the summer of 2003 I was invited into the Cavern for a brief visit, alas I was only down there a couple of hours before I had to head back to the surface. A few days later I received a letter from Zandi, inside were details on where to access the Cavern.
From there my journey started, taking me from joining Doug Sharper and his Great Tree group to moving away and starting The Third Path, to becoming a DRC Liaison in later years.
Aside from serving as the head of the The Third Path, I have also spent a great deal of time researching The Art. After years of learning, trial and error I was finally able to Write my first Age, Fahets. Eventually, like a moth to the flame, I wound up joining the newly reformed Guild of Writers.
These days I have shunned the populated areas of the cavern and it’s Ages. Mingling only with those from The Third Path and a few select friends.
